How to Measure Your Bracelet Size
The most important step when ordering a bracelet is knowing your exact wrist size. If you’re unsure, you can easily find it using the two simple methods below.
Method 1: Measure with a Soft Tape
Use a soft tailor’s tape for the most accurate result:
- Wrap the tape around the narrow area just below your wrist bone.
- Don’t pull too tight; leave a little room so a finger can slip under comfortably.
- Read the value in millimeters (mm) or centimeters (cm).
- Find your recommended bracelet length in the table below.
Method 2: Measure with Paper/String
If you don’t have a tape, use a thin strip of paper or string:
- Wrap it around your wrist and mark where the ends meet.
- Lay it flat and measure the distance with a ruler.
- This measurement is your wrist circumference; match it with the table.

* Quick tip: Adding +1–2 cm to your wrist circumference usually provides a comfortable fit. For chain/link bracelets add +1.5–2 cm; for elastic/stretch styles +0.5–1 cm is often enough.
Note: Measurements may vary by design (chain thickness, clasp type, etc.) by approximately ±0.5 cm.
Tips for an Accurate Fit
- ✔ Choose half a size longer for thick chains or rigid designs.
- ✔ Measure later in the day, as wrists may swell slightly.
- ✔ If you’re between sizes, select the longer length for comfort.
- ✔ For gifts, the average size is 17–18 cm for women and 20–21 cm for men.
